Our clients, a young couple passionate about art and hosting friends, dreamed of a home that could reflect both their creative spirit and their love for gatherings. They envisioned a space where everyday life would feel inspiring, yet comfortable, a place to make memories and showcase their unique style.
We started by transforming the first floor into an open, welcoming area flooded with light. The kitchen became a true centerpiece: a banquette for cozy breakfasts, a generous island for cooking and entertaining, and sleek waterfall countertops that tie the whole space together. The fireplace was reimagined with custom rounded alcove bookshelves, perfect for displaying their favorite collections, and the new lighter flooring brightened the entire main floor.
Upstairs, the blank second floor became a private retreat. The bathroom was redesigned in full mid-century modern style, featuring terrazzo tiles, a floating walnut vanity, and elegant fixtures. Skylights with black-out remote shades fill the space with natural light by day and provide a serene escape at night. A cleverly hidden bookshelf alcove was added to serve as a secret office nook, ideal for reading, creating, or just stealing a moment of quiet.
